frozen grape - illustrated poem

frozen grape hanging on the vine
as premature dribbles of snow engulf the drying grass
winter evening has come and gone
peak of ice approaching in the longest night
adjust your eyes and focus your sight
inside of you there is fright
overcome, stay sharp, don’t whine
frozen grape hanging on the vine
premature snow in the drying grass
watch the ice on the pavement
close your eyes and focus on the cold sun
remember you’ve got what it takes to keep on
